Annual Prairie Fire Lecture Series

51Âþ»­ will host its annual Prairie Fire Lecture Series at 7 p.m. on March 16th in the St. Francis Center.

This year’s presentation will be on STEMM (Siouxland Tanzania Educational Medical Ministries) followed by a moderated panel. STEMM is an inter-denominational Christian ministry founded in 1996. The organization was created to develop a relational bridge between Siouxland and Tanzania by addressing the priorities of spiritual growth, medical care and educational opportunities.

The panel includes co-founder Dana Meyer, social work professor Melanie Berte-Hickey, and Briar Cliff students Jessica Guzman, Aedan Hickey and Karina Manriquez.

The Prairie Fire Lecture Series in an annual lecture sponsored by the Professional Development Committee at 51Âþ»­. Every year, the presentation aims to increase awareness of an up and coming project that takes place in the Siouxland Community. This event is free and open to the public.
